About Us

Cub Pack
For boys and girls 7 to 10 years old.
The Cub Pack meets on Friday evenings from 17:30 till 18:30 during school terms at the Scout Hall. Boys and girls between 7 and 10 years of age are welcome to come and join the pack. Even if you are not sure, come and visit for a week or two to help you find out what happens at the meetings.
In the Cub Pack we run a structured programme which allows Cubs to advance through two levels – Silver Wolf and Gold Wolf. Each of these levels has various outcomes that must be met in four specific objectives. The Cub programme also provides the basic skills and knowledge necessary for when the Cubs move up to the more challenging Scout programme. The ultimate goal of a Cub is to achieve the Leaping Wolf Badge. It takes hard work and dedication to achieve – but it is well worth it in the end!
The Cub motto is "Do your Best" and the Cub Pack and programme will help a child “Do his/her best”.
Scout Troop
For boys and girls from the age of 11 to 18 years.
The Scout Troop meets on Friday evenings from 18:30 till 21:30 during school terms at the Scout Hall. Boys and girls between 10.5 and 17 years of age are welcome to come and join the Troop. Even if you are not sure, come and visit for a few weeks to find out what happens at the meetings and how much fun we have.
The Scouts motto is “Be Prepared” and this is what we teach our Scouts, not only to be prepared in their current role in society but in their lives to come. As Scouts move up the ranks in the Troop, more responsibility is given to them. This develops their leadership skills - which gives them a big head start when they begin their careers one day.
In the Scout Troop we run a structured programme which allows our Scouts to advance through five levels – Path Finder, Adventure, First Class, Explorer and Springbok. Each lesson is taught in a creative way which allows Scouts to learn while they are having fun. Scouts are expected to participate fully in all activities. The ultimate goal of a Scout is to achieve the Springbok Badge. It takes hard work and dedication to achieve – but it is well worth the effort in the end! Just ask any Springbok Scout.
